I think one of the biggest worries in any career, or moment after meeting new people (be it at a dinner, party or meeting) is this. I’ve spent hours beating myself up after those moments, replaying every word, bad joke, anecdote afterwards and thinking ‘oh god, I’m THAT person- I’m a walking pain in the 🍑 ’. We’ve all been there, and sometimes feeling confident enough to be yourself for a moment leads to more moments of pure uncertainty afterwards. I saved this from @blindsaay and I think it’s one of the most important things I try to remember. Not everyone will find you funny, not everyone will appreciate the kindness- but that’s fine, because there are plenty that will and knowing that means you can relax, tell the bad joke and know that whatever happens, you’ll be fine 💫
