Nipple cream is like the holy grail of hot-mama-products. It’s soothing. It’s multi-talented. And it makes you feel darn amazing.

This cult item really is the quintessential product every mama bear needs to stow away in her handbag bag for beauty emergencies. Because it can be used for much more than just dry and cracked breastfeeding nips.

Aside from being genius at releasing a stuck zipper and removing a too-tight ring from pregnancy-swollen-fingers, here are five other beauty-related uses we swear by.

1. Hair defrizzer

You know those pesky flyaways and frizzy bits that come with being a mum? Yeah, that ain’t going away anytime soon.

Cue: a tiny squeeze of balm, rubbed in the palms and patted down gently over any runaway hairs and BAM – instant good hair karma, at your service.

2. Lip balm

Word on the street is that Margot Robbie swears by nipple balm for dry lips. And if her sumptuous kissers are anything to go by, we’re going to take her word for it.

Hands down, it makes for one of the best lip balms going around. The tiniest bit will moisturise, protect and heal a parched pout, leaving lips soft, smooth and kissable.

3. Soothes itchy stretch marks

When stretchies get itchy, it can be a pain and a half trying not to scratch the living daylights out of them.

Thankfully, nipple balm offers easy respite when applied to affected areas. And it is said to help slightly fade stretch marks over time with regular use.

4. Cuticle care

A bit of this goop around the nail bed and cuticles will ensure nails remain healthy, hydrated and ridge free.

Just make sure you enlist the help of a good quality source, preferably free from toxic nasties for best results.

5. Brow tamer

If you haven’t yet converted to nipple balm by now, this last use is going to be the game changer.

Get a clean spoolie brush, dab the teensiest amount of nipple barm to the bristles and comb through lacklustre brows to hold them in place, tame unruly hairs and prompt healthy hair growth. You’re welcome.
