The beauty of your second babe is you have the benefit of hindsight. You’ve been here before, you know what to expect (kind of). So you can throw away those inhibitions, set those boundaries, and go with your instinct, because you now know deep down that mama knows best.

The one thing that has changed though of course, is you now have two beautiful children. That part is new to you.

From prioritising self-love to quality moments with your firstborn, we’re here to share the ins and outs of this magical journey as a mum-of-two.

1. Embrace the Mess of The Newborn Phase

Hey babe, first times are full of life lessons, but the second time around? You’ve got this. Ditch those perfectionist vibes, and let’s embrace that newborn mess. Yes, it’s chaotic, but it’s also magic.

2. Be Proactive with Self-Care

Self-care isn’t a luxury – it’s a must! So schedule in your me-time like it’s a VIP event. Bubble baths, meditation, or a simple cuppa. You’ve earned it, goddess.

3. Get Help (And Not Feel Guilty)

Listen, supermama, you’re fabulous, but you don’t have to do it all. Delegate tasks, ask for help, and ditch that guilt. Surround yourself with your tribe, and remember: it takes a village.

4. Make Time for That Firstborn Love

While your heart’s big enough for all your babies, ensure your OG bubba feels that love too. Whether it’s a solo date, story time, or a little dance-off, that firstborn connection is golden.

5. Let Go of Comparison

Baby numero uno had you scrolling through Insta, comparing every milestone, right? This time, drop the comparisons. Every child is a unique gem. Celebrate those differences, and bask in the joy they bring.

6. Stay Organised with Simplicity

Say it with me: Less is more. A decluttered space is a decluttered mind. Embrace minimalism, prioritise essentials, and watch as the clouds of overwhelm scatter.

7. Go with the Flow

Plans, shmans! Second-time around, it’s all about being in the moment. Let go of rigid routines and ride the wave. Babies, like life, are unpredictable. Dive in and enjoy the ride.
