1// Senator Jana Stewart Enters Parliament
A proud Muthi Muthi and Wamba Wamba woman, the newly elected Senator Jana Stewart took her seat at 35 weeks pregnant (also in heels, no less). She wrote of the momentous occasion that it was “An important message to all women that you belong in Parliament, and in all places where big decisions are made, no matter what stage of life you’re in.” Hear, hear! And here’s to more women saying no to mum guilt.
2// D’Leanne Lewis Is Pregnant (And Glowing) At 50
The star of Luxe Listings Sydney opened up about life as a single mother and why she’s chosen to have a third child via IVF at age 50. She told Women’s Health Australia that she’s used a sperm donor, and so “We’ve got a very unusual family. Two kids have their dad and my third child will have a different dad, but they all will have the love they deserve, and that is the essence of a great family to me.” She credits her positive experience to her commitment to staying active during pregnancy.
3// Kayla Itsines announces her second pregnancy
We can’t talk about mamas making headlines without mentioning this blockbuster announcement that dropped this week! Fitness mogul Kayla Itsines almost broke the internet when she announced her second pregnancy. It’s her first child with new fiancee Jae Woodroffe – Kayla shares three year old daughter Arna with ex Tobi Pearce. Congratulations to the happy couple. We’re looking forward to following along via the ‘gram.
