We recently wrote about luxurious resort, Nanuku, and why we fell totally head over heels for their award-winning cuisine, top-of-the-line service, and the magnificence of the South Pacific location.
The reason we’re such big fans of Nanuku Auberge Resort is because the entire fam bam can indulge in a mind-blowing holiday (located just a three-hour hour flight from mainland Australia). This place is more than just family friendly, though.
Nanuku offer babysitting, accommodation and dining benefits for families that will sound like music to your ears, mamas.
The highlight? Complimentary babysitting from newborns to teenagers, with a dedicated nanny allocated to each child under six years old.
“Our vision is to ensure families are completely supported at Nanuku. To savour precious time together and also treat exhausted parents to well-earned rest and relaxation,” explains General Manager, Sascha Hemmann.
“We understand the vital importance of unplugging families from the daily grind and to immerse them in ‘nature’s playground’. To help them re-discover mother nature and enjoy the way previous generations grew up; outdoors, uninhibited and free – this is the spirit of Fiji and Nanuku.”
Um, sounds like heaven! Where do we sign up? I am packing my bags now.
The low-down on Nanuku Auberge Resort’s fam bam highlights
1 // Complimentary babysitting
On family holidays, even mama and papa need a little downtime. From uninterrupted cocktail time to a chance to reconnect with your partner, on holidays it’s important to make sure you take some time for yourselves, too.
This is easier than ever at Nanuku thanks to the complimentary babysitting they offer.
Every child under six will be allocated a dedicated nanny for the entire duration of their stay, with newborns included.
Children from six to 14 will be allocated a nanny or buddy (iTokani in Fijian) per family during their stay.
We’ll cheers to that!
2 // Young, wild and free discounts for kids
Children from zero to eight will stay, play an eat for free. This was recently extended from six-year-olds to include children up to eight years old.
And there’s something for the older ones, too. Kiddies from nine to 14 years pay only 50% of the normal children’s mean plans. This was recently extended from 12-year-olds to include children up to 14 years old.
3 // The unforgettable Nanuku Lailai Adventure Club
Forget your ordinary kids club. At Nanuku’s Lailai Adventure Club, kids are taken on wild adventures where they’re completely immersed in nature, mindfulness, education and traditional experiences chaperoned by their nannies and buddies.
Some of the daily programs include cultural activities, cooking, dancing, cinema nights by moonlight, water sports, sandcastle building, zip lining, crab racing, rock climbing, crafts at Cakava Creative Workshop and more.
Nanuku even has an on-site Marine Scientist that educates children about conserving the local ecosystem with activities such as coral planting to build up the local reef as well as mangrove tree planting to improve water quality.
