So, turn off your phone, pop your kids down for a nap, put down your work and follow the below for an easy at-home mind, body and soul pamper.

You’ll be amazed at the difference it makes to have five minutes to yourself looking after YOU. Here’s how to practise self-care more often.

1. BATHE

Indulge in a spa bath at home, with candles, magazines etc. Gentle meditation music. Phone turned off. Bliss.

2. SUPPLEMENT YOUR ‘FEEL GOOD’

Take supplements for a boost from within. Swisse’s Hair Skin & Nails or the The Beauty Chef Collagen Inner Beauty Boost is fab.

3. EAT WELL

Drink kombucha or fresh green juices to get you feeling great from the inside out. There is so much goodness in a kombucha drink, especially for your gut – the epicentre of anxiety. The health experts cannot be wrong!

4. NOTE YOUR BLESSINGS

Mediate or write in a gratitude journal each morning before your day begins. ‘Give gratitude and you will attract everything you want in life’, says Rhonda Bryne in the award winning book, The Magic.

5. TEND TO YOUR FEET

Enjoy an at-home foot spa. Trashy tv, packet of Tim Tams and a yummy soak is all you need!

6. GET ACTIVE

Take 30 minutess for a brisk walk around the block with some music and ‘me time’. Exercise releases endorphins and will make you feel re-energised. Plus, the alone time is good.

7. LOOK AFTER YOUR HANDS

Apply a handcream and cuticle oil each evening before bed for a little extra ‘me time’. A slow hand massage is such an indulgence for your hard-working hands. Choose one with a beautiful fragrance that makes you feel good too and you’ll smell it all evening. We love Burt’s Bees Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme. The smell is divine (warning, you will want to eat it).
