Hey mama, if you’re quite partial to cool kids’ shops, then you might want to look away now because Oishi-m have opened a brand-spanking new store in Torquay along Victoria’s Surf Coast. And it will make you want to shop until you drop.
Famed for a small-production run of gorgeous children’s clothes that are designed in Torquay (and largely) made in nearby Melbourne, Oishi-m has a community-minded approach to business.
“Uninspired and frustrated with the stock-standard frilly pinks and baby blues found on the High Street, Oishi-m was born from a passion to create a cool and funky childrens’ clothing line for infants and toddlers,” the brand reveals.
“Oishi-m was the result, Oishi = yummy in Japanese and m = for the mini one in your life.”
It’s no surprise they won the Powercor 2017 Geelong Business Excellence Awards – Business of the Year as well as back-to-back Retailer of the Year awards in both 2017 and 2016.
For wares for little ones aged three months all the way to eight years, we are so excited about their gorgeous new store in Torquay. Let’s take a look around.
With a welcoming and warm timber fit-out, the design of the new store provides the perfect backdrop for the bursts of bright colour and rainbows that can be found in the quirky and fun vibe of the products in the store.
Oishi-m garments are vibrant and offer a mix of contemporary styling with a vintage infusion, helping express and celebrate the personality in each child. Think fresh, unpredictable colours, styles and prints help to create surprise and mystery.
In the shop, you can also expect to find a great mix of iconic brands in little sizes from the likes of Nike, Adidas, Vans, Patagonia Puffer Jackets, Herschel Backpacks, Natives Shoes, Saltwater Sandals and even little Birkenstocks and Blundstones.
In addition to the super-cute clothes, you will also find a wonderful mix of accessories, toys, lifestyle products and more. It’s a great one-stop-shop for little ones.
Located at Shop 7, Torquay Village, 41-57 Bristol Road, Torquay, Oishi-m is a definite must-visit if you’re visiting the Great Ocean Road or the coast in Victoria, Australia.
