It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Now that it’s officially December, everyone seems to be getting in the Christmas spirit and getting their decorating game on.

Christmas has crept up on me in the past few years and I missed the opportunity to relish in the anticipation🎄 Not this year! This year, I’m all in because if you don’t have time to soak up Christmas than something needs tweaking. The tree skirt and tree (the 7” Silverado slim) (which has been up for weeks 🤣) is from @balsamhillau and comes in only 3 pieces and with inbuilt lights so no tangled fairy lights 🙌🏻 No presents under there yet. I still find it so bizarre to be filling our advent calendar on the brink of summer when it doesn’t feel Christmassy even the tiniest bit… but traditions are traditions and this trusty old Advent calendar unfortunately doesn’t fill itself. So here we go…! I also went down under the house to dig through boxes of books to find the Christmas ones. I haven’t found them all yet, but here’s a selection of favourites (and we have shared loads of others on @babyccinokids over the years, so have a look on the blog for inspiration).

A closer look at the @balsamhilluk tree in my living room. I’ve used fake Christmas trees for the last 5 years now all from Balsam Hill and I’m a total convert. My tip if you get this mirrored star tree topper then put it on before you put the top section on! ⭐️ It took us about 40 mins to try and tie it on to the top of this 8 foot tree whilst standing on a ladder before we realised we’d have to take the top section off 😅totally worth it though ⭐️⭐️. . . . . . #christmas #christmastree #christmasdecor #bhukfestivefamilychristmas #balsamhilluk #bhukfestivefamilychristmas2018 #livingroom #sophiepatersoninteriors #spidoeschristmas

Yay! We decorated our Christmas tree!🌲❤️Two things: 1. The boys were so stoked to decorate but Keaton just turned on/off the Xmas lights 100x and Bodhi dragged garland around the kitchen while dancing to KidzBop Christmas songs, LOL. I did all the work 🙋‍♀️ 2. I normally do all white decorations but was so inspired by @kristywicks beautiful warm trees that I went with silver AND gold this year! And this FALALA garland and ornaments from @canadiantire made the tree so special!! ⭐️Have a you decorated your tree yet? Who’s inspiring you?? 😘 Tell me! I love creeping new accounts 😁 . . BTW, I waited for DAYS for some sunshine to shoot the tree but it never came so I gave up and just shot anyway. Poor Grandad. He visits for four days and each day one of of us has been sick with Gastro. I thought Caspi and I had food poisoning until my poor Dad caught what we had last night too. 👆🏼👆🏼What a visit huh?! . I think he enjoyed the trips to Chesterfield Farm and Healesville Zoo even more than the boys did on the first two days though?! Not to mention watching Thomas the Tank Engine and playing with our toy Trains even when he was sick. The Bear Cubs haven’t had this much boy fun ever!! Quill was literally his little shadow the whole time, so sweet. #YoWhatFun
