This year has not been easy (are they ever?!), and almost everyone’s mental wellness has taken a hit – you’re probably feeling like you need to boost your wellbeing. Right?

One thing a lot of people may not know is that your diet plays an important role in helping to support your mind, as well as your body.

To help me feel brighter this Spring, one thing I am going to focus on is eating foods with certain nutrients, such as vitamin C which contributes to normal psychological function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

5 top tips to boost your wellbeing this Spring
1. Fresh meals

Spring is a time for fresh salads. Try to add fruit to your salads to give them a ‘zing’.

2. Start your day right

Wake up with a supportive breakfast such as muesli with Zespri SunGold Kiwifruit which has 100% of your daily vitamin C needs – this will mean you have already met this daily nutrient requirement before lunchtime.

3. Get moving

Regular exercise helps to make you happy, stay fit and boosts your immune system. As the weather gets warmer, it’s a great time to get outside for a walk or a run.

4. Improve your sleep routine

Sleep is essential for your body and mind to revive, repair and recharge.

5. Self-care

Create a self-care routine for when you’re stressed, overwhelmed or busy with work. It’s a chance to take a breath, get grounded, and stay on track with your wellness vision.
